Not-For-Profit: Professional Development Training

Florence, Italy

Albanian-American Development Foundation (AADF) was created in 2009 by the Albanian-American Enterprise Fund with the support and encouragement of United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the United States Government. The AADF is a not-for-profit corporation governed by a Board of Trustees which operates entirely in Albania.

To support the important work this foundation is doing, AADF invests in the development of its people. Once a year, all employees are invited to attend a destination company retreat for team building and professional training. 2018 was the 5th year of the program and it took place in Florence, Italy. They hired Amanda Mailey to design and act as professional facilitator of a collaboration and project planning workshop created specifically for all 30 employees.

  • Team building across the organization

  • Change maker training: Problem + Solution + Action
  • Draft action plans
  • Team presentations

Ervisa Hoffman

“I met Amanda when we were both living and working in Albania. Her expertise and background is difficult to find. As a senior manager at AADF, it was my responsibility to arrange a professional development workshop for all employees including our CEOs. Amanda listened to our needs, designed a custom workshop, and flew to Florence, Italy to facilitate the discussion. Her format gave everyone a voice, encouraged reflection, and we had a lot of fun while learning how to put our ideas into action. Meeting her couldn’t have come at a better time. I highly recommend Amanda Mailey. ” Ervisa Hoffman – Research & Development Mgr at AADF
